Crisp Topping

  • 1 ½ cups old-fashioned oats

  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • cup maple syrup

  • Spread the crisp mixture evenly over the apple pear filling. Cover loosely with foil. Bake for about 35-40 minutes or until the topping is golden brown, the fruit is soft, and the juices are bubbling. If not quite ready, bake for another 5-10 minutes.
