Ingredients

  • 2 (15-ounce) cans black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 medium onion, chopped (about 1 cup)
  • 3/4 cup plain bread crumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 12 slider buns

Instructions

  • Combine the beans, chopped onion, add bread crumbs to a bowl.
  • In a small bowl, beat the eggs.
  • Add 3 tablespoons minced garlic, 1 teaspoon pepper, 1 teaspoon cumin, and ½ teaspoon chili powder and a ½ teaspoon of salt into the mixture.
  • Add the egg mixtures to the dry ingredients. Use a "masher" and mix the ingredients into one another. Some of the beans will naturally get squished by this process.
  • Roll into small patties and place on an oiled grill pan at medium heat.
  • Cook for about 8 minutes on both sides.
  • Place slider on buns with desired toppings!
