These baked maple and cinnamon pears make a perfect dessert but are healthy enough for breakfast! Gluten free, vegan, and kid-approved. Serve with sides such as Skyr, whipped cream, coconut cream, and homemade granola.

Baked Maple and Cinnamon Pears

These baked pears with maple and cinnamon make a fantastic dessert or even breakfast. Serve them with plain Greek or Skyr yogurt and granola for a satisfying treat.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ripe (but not overripe) pears
  • 2 teaspoons maple syrup
  • 1 pinch cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cut pears in half. Slice a sliver off the underside so that they lay flat. Use a spoon to scoop out the seeds.
  • Place on the baking sheet and drizzle each with about ½ teaspoon of maple syrup. Sprinkle with a pinch of cinnamon.
  • Bake for about 25 minutes or until soft and lightly browned on the edges.
  • Enjoy while warm with suggested sides.
