Solving the “what’s for dinner” dilemma
One of the keys to joyful, nourishing eating is meal planning. Having a plan in place will take away the daily stress of this question. It can also help your family eat better, expose your kids to new foods, and save money.
How you plan your meals is up to you. You can do it yourself with the help of a simple printable template, old fashioned pen and paper, or by entering meals into your google calendar. Likewise, you may choose to plan out just 2 days at a time or you may choose to plan out a whole week or more.
But I don’t like meal planning
Not to worry, I can help. Whether you simply don’t like meal planning, don’t have time, or just need a little extra guidance or inspiration, this tool is for you. It allows you to easily plan out everything from breakfasts to snacks choosing from a variety of recipes created by Registered Dietitians.
While there are a variety of plans to choose from, as an intuitive eating dietitian, I recommend Simple Eats. This flexible plan allows you to plan a week of nourishing meals in a totally customizable way; think of it as a meal planning assistant.
Note: As an intuitive eating dietitian, I’m not a fan of diets or food restrictions, so remember to use this (and any) meal plan as a flexible guide. Adjust plans to fit your family’s needs and know that all foods can fit into a healthy eating pattern.
